| Q:
What is the purpose of Reeltime?
A: REELTIME is an innovative arts program that creates free public
access to independent films and videos that might not be available at
theaters or video stores, or shown on television. REELTIME also encourages
the appreciation of film as an art form and provides information about
topics that are relevant to all members of the community. Most importantly,

| Q:
How can I see the Reeltime selections again?
A: All the videos that were screened at REELTIME are available for
check- out from the Evanston Public Library’s REELTIME
RECOMMENDS collection. Aside from these videos, REELTIME purchases
many additional interesting titles that we do not have time to screen
in public.
Our REELTIME RECOMMENDS collection now holds over 200 titles, making it
the largest collection of independent film and video at any library in
the Chicago area. Library patrons can check out any of these titles on
VHS or DVD with a valid library card for a rental fee of $2. Ask the media
librarian on the first floor of the library for assistance in locating
titles from the REELTIME RECOMMENDS list.
