Scout's Honor

A 60-minute documentary by Tom Shepard tracing the movement to overturn the anti-gay politics of the Boy Scouts of America. Chronicling the expulsion of members as a result of sexual orientation, the film follows the stories of a 12 year old boy and a 70-year-old man, both heterosexual, who speak out against the anti-gay policies of the Boy Scouts.

This presentation begins a collaborative series between Reeltime and the Playboy Foundation. Each 2003 schedule will include a winner of the Freedom of Expression Award, established by the Playboy Foundation to honor documentary films that best educate the public on issues of social concern . Cleo Wilson, executive director of the Playboy Foundation and filmmaker Tom Shepard will be present for discussion.
