The Greatest Silence: Rape in the Congo
A film by Lisa F. Jackson (2007, 76 min.)

Fresh from the Sundance Film Festival comes this intensely moving documentary about women in war-torn Congo, where rape of epidemic proportions is unfolding today. A rape survivor herself, Lisa Jackson courageously videotapes victims, physicians, and even, chillingly, the indifferent rapists who are Congolese soldiers.

Co-presented with Amnesty International Group 50, Evanston/Rogers Park and the Chicago Foundation for Women.
